The history of the Alpinium in Fiss on the Sonnenplateau
Together with the mountain giants as contemporary witnesses, our house looks back on over 50 successful years as a personally managed guest establishment for visitors to the Sonnenplateau. A relaxed path that we, in the 3rd generation, would like to continue walking with you. We hope you like it here just as much as we do.
1964
Our grandfather Anton Geiger built the guesthouse at a time when Fiss and the sun plateau gradually grew into a popular holiday destination for summer visitors.
1967
With the construction of the first chairlift and ski lifts in 1967, Fiss and our grandparents' small guesthouse developed into a true insider tip for winter sports enthusiasts.
1965-1972
Grandma and Grandpa ran the private guesthouse with 4 double rooms & 1 single room with a lot of heart and soul through the years.
1972
This was followed by the conversion into one of the first holiday apartments in the holiday resort of Fiss.
1989
Meinrad Geiger takes over the house with his wife, which was named “Haus Irmgard”.
2000
Our second holiday apartment is built.
2008
Haus Irmgard is renovated and modernised.
2017
A dream comes true. In a sunny location, the Alpinium has been created – a relaxed premium apartment house with a very personal ambience.
